Staining Schedule

1. Cover the slide with Hucker Ammonium Oxalate Crystal Violet and stain for 1 or 2 minutes
2. Wash thoroughly with gently flowing water
3. Cover the slide with Gram Iodine solution for 30 seconds to 1 minute
4. Decolorize 30 seconds, with agitation in acetone alcohol
5. Wash side with tap water.
6. Blot dry

Counterstain

1. Apply safranin counterstain for 1 minute
2. Wash with water
3. Very carefully blot dry and air dry.
4. Look in microscope.
