The Geological Time Banner

 

A)             Draw a date scale from 600 million years ago to present

 

1)    Label the Eras and Periods in the proper places.

-        1cm = 2 million years; banners are 300 cm long

 

2)  Write the major events (new creatures etc.) under each Period and Era

 

B)              Find out (at least one) kind of rock and fossil that is

present in each Period and Era

 

C)              Place a title on the top “Rocks and Fossils Over Time”

 

D)             Write a sentence explaining the predominant rocks in each period and era.
